Attn: Club Directors, Team Reps, and Coaches: I am pleased to announce that the schedule for the Domino's Pizza Volleyball Invite will be posted on our website at www.recre8.org as follows: Monday, March 15th by 8:00pm for U15-D1, U15-D2/3, U17 and U18 divisions. Monday, March 22nd by 8:00pm for U12, U13, U14-D1, U14-D2/3, U16-D1, and U16-D2/3 divisions. Click on the link for the "Domino's Pizza Invite" in the left-hand margin and then go to the pool play schedule and playoff brackets. Included on the website is a map with written directions, rules and regulations and playing format procedures, playoff brackets, and coupons for Domino's Pizza and Subway. I encourage you to let anyone access this information and print up whatever you need including as many coupons as you like. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of patronizing our sponsors whenever possible. Domino's will deliver lunch to the gym as they are about 10 minutes maximum from most sites. Subway also is close by to both Franklin Pierce and Washington high and they are ready and willing to serve your needs.. We are excited to host your teams in Tacoma and have gone to considerable lengths to make this tournament an enjoyable experience for all. Every effort was made to seed the teams in the best possible fashion using regional rankings and tournament results when available. When we were in doubt, the dart board method worked quite well. We have an excellent and experienced tournament staff and they will do their very best to run a smooth tournament for all. At the same time, please give them some breathing room to do their job. They will be happy to respond to your needs as long as you give them the opportunity to do so. In addition, we have some experienced and longtime veteran officials coupled with some younger, enthusiastic officials rapidly improving as the season goes on, all of whom will give you 100% at all times. If you have concerns however, please report them to the tournament director/site supervisor. The bottom line, however, is that the success of the tournament depends on you and how well prepared and organized you are when it comes to getting your teams on the court promptly to play and how efficiently you handle your officiating responsibilities. We all love the game of volleyball and we all want our players to have fun in a good competitive environment but we also all love getting home at a decent hour. With your help we can have it all!! Coaches-please read the rule and regulations and playing format information carefully. If you have questions, ask me NOW via email. We absolutely EXPECT you to have a team representative present for EACH and every team at the coaches meeting which will be held PROMTPLY at 7:45am. The location is indicated accordingly for your age group. Last minute changes will be announced at this time. If your team is not represented at the coaches meeting, please do not expect us to repeat it for you. We are busy and have other obligations to take care of in order for the tournament to start on time. It is simply your responsibility to be in attendance and that is our expectation of you. We already know what you expect of us and our intention is to deliver. We want you to enjoy your time in Tacoma. Finally, please confirm receipt of this message IMMEDIATELY and of your ability to access the website for all of the necessary information.
